Graduate Estimator - Waterproofing and Remediation
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Employment Type: Casual with Potential for Full-time
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Estimator to join the growing team at Mez Contracting Dayproof.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career in construction estimating, project delivery, waterproofing, concrete remediation, and specialist civil/ infrastructure works. You will work closely with experienced estimators, project managers, and company directors on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, civil, and remedial construction projects throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate and competitive project estimates and tenders.
- Review plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.
- Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation.
- Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules.
- Participate in site inspections and project handovers.
- Support project managers with commercial and contractual administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should possess or be completing one of the following:
- Bachelor of Construction Management
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Bachelor of Construction Engineering
- Bachelor of Project Management (Construction)
- Equivalent construction, engineering, or quantity surveying qualification
Desired Skills & Attributes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Preferably experienced in take-off/ estimating software like Bluebeam
- Strong sense of Initiative and Proactive
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in construction, infrastructure, remediation, and waterproofing.
- Australian Driver's License and White Card.
