Full Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Health Safety & Wellbeing Regional Manager. Join our Zero Harm team to support the internal contract and play a key role in providing expert Health & Safety technical advice, management system guidance and practical support to leaders and staff across the business unit. Reporting to the Head of Zero Harm Operations, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Champion the development of a Zero Harm leadership culture at Downer, with a strong focus on manager-led accountability and outcomes.
Oversee the implementation and delivery of the Zero Harm Strategy to ensure performance objectives are achieved within agreed timeframes.
Lead the integration of the Downer Zero Harm Management System into both existing operations and new business opportunities.
Provide expert HSE technical advice, guidance, and support across a Downer contracts, including service delivery partners.
Oversee Zero Harm INX moderation processes across the assigned regions as required.
Lead and/or contribute to Zero Harm projects aligned to strategic objectives, as directed by the Head of Zero Harm – Operations.

What You’ll Bring

Formal work health and safety (or health/science/engineering) qualifications (Degree qualified in relevant discipline)
Trained in ICAM or equivalent investigation methodology & WHS and/or EMS Auditor qualifications or accreditations.
Expensive practical experience within a similar (senior HSE Advisor or Manager) WHS/OHS role.
Experience within Commercial Facilities Management and/or High Risk Construction Industry.
Understanding of safety and environmental management systems (ISO45001/ ISO14001) or equivalent standards.
