Championing safety, wellbeing and return to work success!
We are seeking an experienced WHS professional to lead a dedicated team committed to driving and promoting best practice in health, safety, and return-to-work outcomes. This role offers flexibility in location, with occasional travel across the state required.
You will bring a proven track record in leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams – fostering engagement, building capability, and supporting ongoing professional development to deliver measurable results.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong experience in designing and implementing organisation-wide culture change initiatives that enhance health, safety, and wellbeing. This includes delivering targeted strategies to strengthen psychological safety within a large and complex environment.
What you'll be doing

This role ensures regulatory compliance, effective management of physical and psychosocial risk, and integration of prevention, recovery and wellbeing strategies to protect workers and support sustainable workforce capability, in alignment with NSWHP strategic objectives.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role exercises independent professional judgement on complex, high risk and sensitive matters. It delivers authoritative advice to senior executives and governance committees, and leads specialist teams to deliver systems, frameworks and assurance that balance employee wellbeing with organisational, legal and financial risk.
