Full Job Description

Bridgeway Tutoring is one of the fastest growing tuition centre with over 10 years of experience in Northwest Sydney. Our programs are tailored to suit each student's individual learning needs and are developed in Australia by experienced educators.

Our mission is to inspire students to enjoy learning by developing their creativity, imagination, critical thinking and communication skills. We encourage students to express their ideas confidently, write with purpose and approach learning with an open and curious mind, within a positive and supportive environment.

We are currently seeking experienced English Tutors, school teachers and new graduate teachers to join our team at our Stanhope Gardens and Rouse Hill centres, teaching Primary and/or Secondary students.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We particularly welcome applications from school teachers and new graduate teachers with strong English teaching skills and experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong English teaching experience, preferably with Primary and/or Secondary students
School teaching experience or a teaching qualification is highly preferred
New graduate teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
Strong knowledge of English grammar, reading comprehension, creative writing, persuasive writing and analytical writing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Punctual, reliable and well organised
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Bachelor's Degree in Education, English or a related field is preferred
Availability on weekdays after 3:00pm and Saturdays between 9:00am–5:00pm

HIGH-ACHIEVING ENGLISH STUDENTS

We also welcome applications from high-achieving university students who have a strong academic background in English.

For university students:

HSC English Band 6 is highly preferred
ATAR 90+ is highly preferred
HSC English results and ATAR will be requested as part of the application process
Previous tutoring, mentoring or teaching experience is an advantage
