Join Simon Sandall's team at Powerhouse Parramatta in a brand new, state of the art kitchen built for chefs who want to work with the best tools in the business, not adapt around old infrastructure. This is a ground up opportunity to help establish the pastry program from day one, in a venue where premium produce and technical excellence are non negotiable.

We're looking for a passionate and technically skilled Pastry Chef's who loves working with premium ingredients, takes pride in precision, and thrives in a fast paced, high volume kitchen. If you want to bring genuine discipline and craft to a brand new venue and help set the standard from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

The Role

Produce a diverse range of high-quality pastry across the à la carte menu, including handmade pastry, tarts, cakes, petits fours, plated desserts, and classic patisserie
Uphold exceptional standards of quality, consistency and presentation across every item produced
Work efficiently in a high volume production environment without ever cutting corners on quality
Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation standards
Manage ingredient preparation, stock rotation and daily production requirements
Collaborate closely with the broader kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
Help shape processes and standards in a brand new kitchen, fitted with the latest equipment
Bring energy and professionalism to a supportive, high performing kitchen culture

About You

Previous professional experience in pastry or patisserie
Strong technical pastry skills with a sharp eye for detail
Comfortable and consistent under the pressure of a fast paced, high volume kitchen
Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent time management skills
A collaborative, positive communicator who works well within a team
Genuine passion for pastry, premium produce, and consistently delivering work to the highest standard
Excited by the opportunity to help build and set the standard for a brand new pastry program

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
