About the role

As the Production Supervisor - Electrical at Weidmuller Pty Ltd, the role's main purpose is the assembly, wiring testing and inspection; Supervision of Electrical Contractors; and Allocation of work for Electrical Cabinet construction for CSA.

What you'll be doing

Active involvement with, and Supervising the Team, in the Cabinet Assembly area
Scheduling jobs
Buying and managing consumable parts stock
During production ensure only approved drawings are used and ensure any marked-up drawings including final inspection drawings are approved by the responsible Engineer.
Routing Sheets managing
Manage Free Issue Stock
Customer Visits and On-site Assistance
Final Inspection/Point to Point Testing
In-house FAT assistance
Printing Identification Labels and Markers
Approve time sheets & leave applications for staff under supervision.
5S Implementation
Responsible for the Occupational Health and safety in the panel area.
Provide support in finalising postproduction paperwork, i.e. scanning and filing where required.
Ensure packaging of product produced from the panel area is of a standard applicable to the shipping requirements and all paperwork is completed and passed to dispatch when needed.
Promoting safety in all areas by participating in the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) processes, attending training where necessary, and by open discussions with members of the EHS committee.
Participate actively in the maintaining of the companies QMS system through input for continual improvement of processes and procedures.
Any other duties/projects as required by management.

What we're looking for

Electrical license required
3-5 years experience in a similar field
Supervisory Experience
Electrical Knowledge and an understanding of Electrical Standards and Test Methodologies
Ability to interpret drawings
Attention to detail, analytical and numeracy skills
Self-motivated and organised
Able to work without supervision, prioritise and manage a busy workload
Computer literacy and good communication skills
