Full Job Description

Fresh sandwiches, wraps, panini's, salads... If you don't mind early mornings, love food and are skilled in the kitchen then we want to hear from you!

Casual role

20-25 hrs per week

Weekday availability - no evening or weekend work!

Key responsibilities include:

Food preparation/ serving: perform food preparation of cabinet items eg. wraps, panini's focaccia's, sandwiches, fresh salads, frittata, muffins and catering platters
Product knowledge: advise customers and staff on gluten free, dairy free and other dietary specifications in addition to in-store specials
Kitchen organisation: manage the work flow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S procedures, order stock and food items for the store.
Customer service: ensuring Merlo's customer-focused service is upheld at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

To ensure your success in this role you will have:

20-25 hours per week
Experience in a fast paced hospitality environment
Strong passion for food and commitment to the success of Merlo Coffee
Love for routine and structure in your day
A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude towards work
Food safety and hygiene knowledge
Fast hands and ability to work autonomously
