Casual role
20-25 hrs per week
Weekday availability - no evening or weekend work!
Key responsibilities include:
- Food preparation/ serving: perform food preparation of cabinet items eg. wraps, panini's focaccia's, sandwiches, fresh salads, frittata, muffins and catering platters
- Product knowledge: advise customers and staff on gluten free, dairy free and other dietary specifications in addition to in-store specials
- Kitchen organisation: manage the work flow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S procedures, order stock and food items for the store.
- Customer service: ensuring Merlo's customer-focused service is upheld at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
To ensure your success in this role you will have:
- 20-25 hours per week
- Experience in a fast paced hospitality environment
- Strong passion for food and commitment to the success of Merlo Coffee
- Love for routine and structure in your day
- A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude towards work
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge
- Fast hands and ability to work autonomously
