About the role
Ensure Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Figtree, NSW. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Figtree office. As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, drafting and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions for a broad range of residential projects. You will play an important role in delivering practical, high-quality engineering outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
We welcome applications from final-year engineering students, graduates, and experienced engineers. The role will be tailored to suit the successful candidate’s experience and capabilities. Applicants must currently reside in the Illawarra region.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design of civil and structural engineering projects, utilising industry-standard software and methodologies
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction projects
- Perform site investigations and assessments to determine ground conditions and structural requirements
- Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met
- Manage project timelines and budgets whilst maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Undertake site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases
- Review and approve construction documentation and ensure compliance with approved designs
- Contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions and continuous improvement of project delivery processes
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- Professional qualification in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
- Current professional registration (NER) or eligibility for registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer-aided design (CAD) tools for preparing technical drawings
- Thorough understanding of Australian Standards and Building Codes, including AS/NZS standards relevant to structural design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction practices and site coordination is highly desirable
- Applicants must currently reside in the Illawarra region.
