About the role
Santana Studwelding is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Wollongong, NSW. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of complex civil and structural engineering projects, contributing to the company's strategic objectives and delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet all safety, regulatory, and performance requirements
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, and specifications
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project managers, construction teams, and clients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering practices, technologies, and industry regulations
- Mentor and support junior engineers in the team
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of structural analysis, design, and construction methods
- Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools, such as CAD, FEA, and BIM
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or working towards accreditation
