About the opportunity
HealthShare NSW is seeking motivated and compassionate Patient Transport Officers to join our team and play a vital role in supporting patient care across the NSW Health system. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transfer and transport of patients in a variety of environments, often outside hospital settings, ensuring dignity, comfort, and safety at all times. You will drive patient transport vehicles, assist with manual handling and movement of patients, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, roadworthy, and well stocked. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, professionalism, and the values of NSW Health.
To be successful, you will hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate, a Working With Children Check (paid work), and an unrestricted NSW Manual Light Rigid Driver Licence with an excellent driving history. You will demonstrate strong manual handling capability, effective communication and basic literacy skills, and the ability to work a seven‑day rotating roster, including public holidays and overtime as required. - I hold a current senior first aid certificate and have uploaded my certificate as part of the application process.
- I hold a current NSW unrestricted Manual Light Rigid Driver's Licence and have NOT incurred more than six demerit points in the last three years or a had my licence suspended/cancelled in the last two years and am able to supply a copy of my driving record as part of the recruitment process.

- I acknowledge that if successful I will need to attend a full time induction programme that consists of 2 weeks Monday through Friday
