About the role:
The After-Hours Nurse Manager (AHNM) team plays a critical leadership role in supporting Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, the largest rural referral hospital in Hunter New England Local Health District. Working across a diverse range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, the team provides clinical and operational leadership outside normal business hours to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient hospital operations. The AHNM works collaboratively with nursing, medical, allied health and support services to ensure effective service delivery and operational efficiency across the hospital. The role also contributes to workforce development through coaching, mentoring and supporting staff in clinical and operational matters.
You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DONM) and Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DDONM) and works closely with Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Managers, Medical Officers and Executive On-Call staff.
As our newest AHNM, You Will:
Hold Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and relevant post graduate qualifications in clinical leadership or management.
Bring a minimum 3 years' experience in a senior nursing leadership role, such as Clinical Nurse Manager, Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator or equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient flow, workforce management, clinical governance and risk management principles.
