Role impact & contribution
As a senior member of the team, you will provide high quality analysis and advice to government, working alongside First Nations communities and organisations to support high quality evidence and economic outcomes. This may relate to long-term opportunities and challenges facing the State, supporting government decision making and policy development, or whole of government economic frameworks. The role may include independent research, project management, or general public policy advice.
Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount. This includes grounding relationships and partnerships through First Nations cultural contexts. You will contribute to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.

What you can bring to the role

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated cultural capability and knowledge through experience in engaging and partnering with First Nations communities and organisations,
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with, and understand issues impacting on First Nations peoples, communities and organisations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded but not essential if knowledge / experience can otherwise be demonstrated.
- Experience in developing economic frameworks and/or the provision of economic advice and analysis highly regarded.
- Experience in conducting or reviewing evaluation, cost-benefit analysis or business cases highly regarded.
- The ability to work across diverse policy issues and diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and/or professional experience in economics, evaluation, public policy, or another relevant field.

Eligibility
