About You

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference for Aboriginal children and families across NSW?
We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join the Aboriginal Early Childhood Outcomes team on an ongoing, part time basis. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to a high-performing team that delivers grants to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) delivering Early Learning in NSW.

The ideal candidate will:

Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage various administrative tasks with attention to detail and meet deadlines.
Have knowledge of, and a commitment to, the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

About the role

The Support Officer Programs role sits within Quality Participation & Connections Aboriginal Early Childhood Outcomes and is responsible for providing a range of administrative support services to the team. The responsibilities include:

Providing administrative support including diary, records, correspondence, and event coordination
Preparing documents and compile information to support communication and decision-making
Processing routine financial transactions and purchasing in line with procedures
Handling enquiries, escalating or redirecting as needed
Maintaining accurate and accessible records and databases
