Job Description

We are looking for skilled technicians to join our freelance team for ongoing hardware replacement tasks at client data centers in Brisbane.

As a technician, you will be called upon to replace server components on an as-needed basis. You are not required to accept every task – you can choose only the tasks that fit your availability.

Scope of Work (SOW)

You will be responsible for replacing the following server components:

Motherboard
HDD (Hard Disk Drive)
SSD (Solid State Drive)
PSU (Power Supply Unit)
PDU (Power Distribution Unit)
Fan

Required Tools

You must have your own basic toolkit, including:

Standard screwdriver set (Torx T-series preferred)
Keyboard
Monitor
Mouse
Laptop (Windows) – for documentation and basic troubleshooting
Console cable (RJ45 to USB) – optional but preferred

Availability Requirements

For motherboard replacement tasks: Must be fully available during weekday working hours
For other tasks: Flexible – you can choose tasks based on your schedule
Weekend tasks are possible but rare

Requirements

Proven experience replacing server hardware (motherboard, HDD, SSD, PSU, PDU, fan)
Own required tools (keyboard, monitor, mouse, screwdriver set)
Basic English communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Ability to follow technical instructions
Must be based in or near Brisbane, QLD
No visa sponsorship available – this is a freelance role
