About the role and where you will be working:
As a Work Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide direct advice and support to employees on all WHS related matters, ensuring hazards are identified, reported, and actioned in a timely manner. You will play a key role in identifying corrective and preventative actions, coordinating review plans, and supporting the continuous improvement of WHS practices across the organisation.
Based at our Central Office in Rivervale, you will also contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative site level WHS initiatives that enhance safety and wellbeing for all staff.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Advise staff and workgroups to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.

Deliver WHS training on systems, processes, and organisational requirements.

Support WHS governance by assisting with the Work Health and Safety Steering Committee, including coordination, participation, and minute‑taking.

Lead WHS Representative activities and ensure representatives are trained and reporting effectively.

Manage workers’ compensation and injury management, providing guidance and liaising with insurers and brokers.

Prepare and deliver WHS training through team meetings and communication channels, including induction updates for new leaders.

Identify and action hazards, ensuring unsafe conditions are reported, monitored, and resolved through appropriate corrective actions.
About you:
You are a proactive and confident WHS professional who thrives in a role where your expertise directly contributes to safer, healthier workplaces. You bring strong communication and relationship‑building skills, allowing you to influence positive safety behaviours and engage effectively with staff at all levels.
You’re highly organised, able to balance competing priorities, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You enjoy problem‑solving, thinking critically, and supporting others to understand and meet their WHS responsibilities. Most importantly, you’re committed to fostering a culture where safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement are at the forefront of everyday work.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Experience in WHS policies, procedures, and risk management, with an understanding of integrated management systems.

Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to guide, coach, and support staff in meeting compliance requirements.
