SRJ Walker Wayland is a Queensland-based accounting firm specialising in audit, tax, and advisory services. Led by eight Partners, our team of 80 professionals operate across offices at Brendale, the Sunshine Coast, as well as offshore in the Philippines. Our firm aims to be indispensable to our business clients through our core offerings of Audit, Advisory, Tax and Compliance, and Business Solutions which incorporates bookkeeping and CFO Advisory.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Auditor to join our Audit Team to support the delivery of external client engagements. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of Australian clients across various industries including sporting, not-for-profit, commerce, and other listed companies.
As an Auditor you will have a minimum of 2-5 years of field experience with a proven record of engaging with and support clients with their Audit needs. You will work closely with your Manager and Senior Auditors during engagements by taking instructions and ensuring work produced meets internal quality and Auditing Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the preparation of work papers with clean and concise reports in accordance with Audit Methodology
- Support in the preparation of statutory financial statements and understand tax computations including tax journals and financial statement disclosures
- Strong working knowledge of Excel with the ability to filter, manipulate and interpret data
- Liaise with manager to ensure jobs are reviewed and completed on time
- Fully utilise Audit software program – Caseware
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following:
- a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a Public Practice firm and hold a CA or CPA designation or are near completion.
- a degree qualification or currently working towards one
- Experience with Caseware is preferable
- Exposure to managing client relationships will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A strong degree of initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
