About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Physiotherapist within the Pain Rehabilitation Service, where you will play a key role in supporting individuals living with persistent and complex pain.
As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible to the Senior Manager, Division of Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care (ACRPC) for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of quality Physiotherapy Pain Management services for patients of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN).
In this role you will work in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team, to effectively plan and provide therapeutic interventions based on patient goals and evidence-based practice. This may involve consultation and liaison with the team, other professional disciplines and external organisations.
Working in conjunction with other members of Chronic Pain Management team and other health professionals, you will optimise patient functional and health outcomes in this specialty area. As a skilled and competent clinician, you will deliver quality services and provide clinical services within the Pain Rehabilitation Service, providing support and supervision to less experienced staff.
Working under limited clinical supervision, you will apply advanced clinical reasoning while contributing to service delivery, quality improvement and best‑practice care. You may also provide guidance and support to less experienced clinicians, allied health assistants and students, while actively working towards the State-wide Generic Core Competencies Framework.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

In this role you will demonstrate knowledge and competency in contemporary, evidence‑based physiotherapy pain management assessment and treatment, supported by a broad range of general physiotherapy skills. You are committed to continuous professional development through reflective practice and self‑directed learning. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to engage effectively with patients, families, multidisciplinary colleagues and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate sound time‑management and caseload‑management skills, a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary teamwork, and the capacity to deliver high‑quality care across complex clinical presentations within a rehabilitation or pain management context.
