We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As Student Support officers, suitable applicants ideally would assist in the coordination of Student Support Programs as well as developing and introducing systems and intervention strategies that provide a responsive and effective support service for students, family members and staff.
Part of the role includes active participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences within the college/school and with other agencies as appropriate, including the provision of information and consultancy advice as required. Some of the key responsibilities also include but not limited to:
Assisting in undertaking work assessments on students
Assisting the School/College Administration team in crisis management and response duties as required.
Recording, collate and prepare information used to develop and monitor strategies and alternative programs.
Suitable applicants should ideally display good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate and build positive working relationships and would ideally possess the necessary knowledge of the youth sector, particularly local organisations and services. Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities within timelines is highly regarded.
