Junior Retail Assistant

Prices Plus - Moranbah

Casual — after school and weekends

Prices Plus is a family-owned Australian variety retailer with stores across Queensland and northern New South Wales. Our team is built around five values: People, Customers, Accountability, Community and Relationships.

This is a first job you can be proud of. You will be on the floor and on the register serving customers and keeping the store looking its best. No experience is needed — we will train you.

Hours

Varying casual shifts after school and on weekends
Shift times vary according to the store's trading requirements
Up to [12] hours per week during school term, within the limits that apply to school-aged employees
Additional hours available during school holidays

What You Will Be Doing

Welcoming customers and giving friendly, helpful service
Operating the register and processing sales on our POS system
Replenishing shelves and keeping product presentation neat
Keeping the store clean, tidy and well presented
Helping out with general store tasks as directed by your supervisor

What We Are Looking For

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn — no retail experience required
Reliability: turning up on time for every rostered shift
Confidence communicating with to customers and team members of all ages
Availability after school and across the weekend
Ability to be on your feet for a shift and to lift and move stock safely
Written permission from a parent or guardian

Pay and Benefits

Award rates apply under the General Retail Industry Award, at the junior rate for your age.

Casual loading, plus weekend and public holiday penalty rates
