Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Sandwich Artist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality food products in accordance with Subway standards. This role involves food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Provide product recommendations and answer customer questions.
Ensure every customer receives excellent service.

Food Preparation

Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Subway recipes and standards.
Portion ingredients correctly and maintain product consistency.
Prepare and stock ingredients throughout the shift.
Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.

Store Operations

Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
Restock food, packaging, and supplies as required.
Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, dining areas, and equipment.
Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.

Food Safety and Compliance

Follow all food safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor product quality and expiry dates.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Previous customer service or food service experience is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Reliable and punctual.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry stock and supplies.
Ability to perform repetitive food preparation tasks.
