MK Electrical Supplies – Electrical & Lighting Wholesale
Rouse Hill, NSW | Part-Time

MK Electrical Supplies is looking for a motivated and organised Part-Time Administration & Business Development Assistant to join our growing electrical and lighting wholesale business.

This position combines general administration, accounts follow-up and business development. We are looking for someone who can help keep the office organised while actively finding opportunities to grow our customer base, generate larger leads and develop new supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Follow up outstanding invoices and overdue customer accounts
Reconnect with existing customers who have not purchased from us recently
Maintain regular contact with customers and encourage repeat business
Research and generate new sales leads
Identify and approach builders, electricians, developers, construction companies and high-rise projects
Research opportunities to supply government, commercial and residential projects
Assist with identifying tenders, contracts and larger supply opportunities
Contact prospective customers and introduce MK Electrical Supplies and our product range
Build and maintain relationships with developers, builders, contractors and purchasing departments
Develop and maintain a database of potential customers, projects and opportunities
Follow up quotations, enquiries and previous sales leads
Source and establish relationships with new suppliers and manufacturers
Request supplier quotations and negotiate better pricing and trading terms
Compare supplier pricing and identify opportunities to improve our margins
Assist with product and supplier research
Data entry and maintaining accurate customer and supplier records
General invoicing and accounts administration
Prepare emails, quotations, spreadsheets and documents
Answer customer enquiries and assist with general office duties
Work directly with management on strategies to increase sales and grow the business

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident communicating over the phone and by email
Comfortable approaching new businesses and potential customers
Persistent and confident when following up leads and outstanding invoices
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to research companies, construction projects and potential opportunities
Commercially minded and comfortable negotiating with suppliers
Confident using computers, email, spreadsheets and data-entry systems
Able to work independently and take initiative
Professional, reliable and motivated by results

Previous experience in administration, accounts receivable, business development, sales, construction, electrical wholesale, procurement or supplier management would be highly regarded.

About the Role

This is not simply a data-entry position. We want someone who can become an important part of the business and actively help us find new opportunities.

The successful applicant will help us expand our customer base across residential, commercial, high-rise, developer and government projects, while strengthening our relationships with existing customers and suppliers.

There is potential for the role to grow as the business continues to expand.

Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Rouse Hill, NSW

Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
