The opportunity

Our Kitchen team is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team!

About you:

Excellent creative passion and skill
Ensure a smooth service for their designated section
Maintain excellent presentation standards
Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair
Have working rights in Australia
Previous Cook or equivalent experience

To be successful within this position you will have a "can do" attitude, exceptional passion and skill.

You will also have exceptional personal & presentation standards as well as previous experience in a similar position.

Duties

Controls general and specialised duties including supervision and training of other kitchen employees
Ordering and stock control
Assists the Executive Chef and were necessary operates a section of kitchen and ensure that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes / standards.
Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the Executive and Sous Chefs. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
