We are now seeking an experienced and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team.
The Role: As a Chef at The Oriental Hotel, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality food to our customers. You will be confident working across the grill and larder sections, capable of leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, and able to perform well in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals with a strong focus on grill and larder sections
- Take control of the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence
- Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards
- Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Support the Head Chef with kitchen operations and consistency
- Assist with stock control and minimising waste
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or related chef/cook role
- Strong skills and confidence on the grill and larder
- Proven ability to run a kitchen independently when required
- Ability to work weekends and split shifts
- Reliable, positive team player with a strong work ethic
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable)
