School Cleaner (Casual) – June & July and August Contract

Location: Waroona WA 6215

Pay: $32.31 – $33.38 per hour (Casual rate)

Hours: 10–12 hours per week

Duration: 8-week fixed-term (June 21st – August 30th, 2026)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Casual School Cleaner for a short-term contract in Waroona. This position is ideal for someone looking to pick up steady part-time work during the winter months (June and July).

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards within a local school environment, ensuring classrooms and facilities are clean and safe for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

General cleaning of classrooms, corridors, and staff areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting).
Thorough sanitization of high-touch surfaces and amenities.
Waste management and restocking of essential supplies.
Adhering to safety protocols and reporting any maintenance needs.
Using eco-friendly, plant-based cleaning products (training provided).

Requirements

Essential: Current WA Working with Children Check (WWC).
Essential: Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Education Department cleared).
Strong reliability and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
Previous commercial or school cleaning experience (highly regarded).
Local resident of Waroona or surrounding areas (e.g., Hamel, Coolup).

Shift Details

Total Hours: 10–15 hours per week.
Times: Typically late afternoon/evening shifts (e.g., 3:00 PM onwards, Monday to Friday).
Contract: Temporary casual for the months of June and July.
