Scarborough Veterinary Surgery has been delivering professional, experienced, and friendly animal care to local pets for over 30 years. Located in Redcliffe, we are just an easy 40-minute drive north of Brisbane, offering a beautiful coastal lifestyle with parklands, cafes, and beaches right on our doorstep.

We are a passionate, tight-knit small animal practice that takes immense pride in our work. Above all, we are proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional clinic. Our entire team—led by our dedicated Vets and Practice Manager—is fiercely committed to ensuring our patients feel safe, calm, and happy during their visits.

The opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Nurse to join us full-time for a fixed-term parental leave cover (76 hours fortnightly).

Looking for longevity? While this starts as a fixed-term cover, we are fully open to this transitioning into a permanent role for the right candidate who feels like a natural extension of our inclusive team!

Roster: Monday - Friday 8am – 6pm
Weekend Work: None! Enjoy your weekends exploring the beautiful Moreton Bay.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a general allrounder who is ready to jump into both Surgery and Reception duties.

Qualifications: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in veterinary nursing, with a solid understanding of clinical and nursing procedures.
Fear Free Advocate: A genuine passion for low-stress handling and advocating for the emotional well-being of animals.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills to build trust and lasting relationships with our clients.
Work Ethic: An eye for detail, a warm and empathetic approach, and a desire to keep learning alongside an experienced team.
