Disability Support Worker for Domestic Cleaning - Botanic Ridge 3977

Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Houses provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Aussie Life Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join assist our participants. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently. If you are a compassionate, patient and reliable individual with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, we want to hear from you.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a support worker to support a male participant for domestic cleaning in Botanic Ridge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes independence and social interaction.
Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming living environment.
This is a domestic cleaning shift only.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:

Cert. 3 in Individual Support (preferred), with experience in handling challenging behaviours
Excellent communication skills – able to listen actively and communicate clearly with participants and the Care Team
A person who is respectful, friendly, and empathetic – able to build trust and create a safe, supportive environment
You must have working rights in Australia
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current driver's licence, car registration and comprehensive car insurance
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Medication administration certificate (or wanting to train on this competency)
NDIS Orientation Module

AVAILABILITY:

Current available shifts are from:

Monday: 10am-12pm
