ATTENTION SOUTHEAST STAFF
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – CRANBOURNE NORTH
We are seeking a female Support Worker to support a 12 year old participant in Cranbourne North.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
About Participant:
- Diagnosed with ASD, ODD, and ADHD
- Enjoys community access activities, including park visits and swimming
- Support workers must actively participate in swimming activities and engage with participant in the water rather than supervise from poolside
Support Requirements:
- Assist with emotional regulation
- Encourage positive community participation and engagement
- Build rapport and trust with participant and his family
- Support implementation of strategies outlined in his BSP
Additional Information:
- A Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) is in place and will be provided
- A new Behaviour Support Practitioner is currently being engaged
Important: Supports will initially commence as 2-hour sessions in the family home to allow Mum to get to know the support worker and for rapport to be established before transitioning to community-based supports.
