Your primary goal will be to ensure that all facilities are kept in excellent condition—functional, safe, and visually appealing for clients, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing issues, and performing general building upkeep to maintain high standards. You will also be involved in minor construction tasks, such as assembling, installing, or repairing fixtures and fittings as needed. Additionally, the role may require you to collect materials and supplies from local suppliers to complete your tasks efficiently.
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform Comprehensive Commercial Maintenance: Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks, including both minor and major facility repairs. This may involve painting, drywall patching, replacing ceiling tiles, repairing or installing doors, flooring, cabinetry, and completing customised installations to meet client needs.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Identify and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently and implement effective solutions to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing.
- Work Order Management: Use our online maintenance platform to manage, document, and update work orders. You will receive full training to ensure you are confident and efficient in using the system to track and report on your work.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety Standards: Ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with Australian Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations. This includes following safety protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Emergency Maintenance Response: Be prepared to respond promptly to emergency maintenance callouts if required, ensuring urgent issues are addressed quickly and effectively to minimise disruption.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. If you thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy solving problems while maintaining high safety and operational standards, this position is an excellent opportunity for you!
