As a Settlement Caseworker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals and families to achieve independence, stability and a sense of belonging in their new community.
About the Role
The Settlement Caseworker provides tailored settlement support to newly arrived migrants and refugees, helping them navigate life in Australia and build independence. You will manage a caseload of low to medium-intensity clients, delivering person-centred casework, coordinating referrals and supporting clients to access the services they need to thrive.
This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes for clients.
This is a full-time max-term contract until end of June 2027, based at our Logan Qld office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver client-centred case management, including assessments, case plans and regular reviews
- Support clients to build independence through capacity-building activities and referrals
- Provide information, advice and coordinated referrals to appropriate services
- Maintain accurate and compliant case notes and client records
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Monitor client progress and follow up on referral outcomes
- Contribute to reporting on client outcomes, trends and service quality
- Participate in community forums and advocate for client needs
About You
You are a compassionate and culturally responsive professional who is passionate about supporting people from diverse backgrounds. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or a related discipline
- Experience delivering culturally responsive casework services
- Strong understanding of the settlement or multicultural sector and relevant services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse communities
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including client record management
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complex client needs
- Experience working with newly arrived migrants or refugees is highly desirable
