About the role
As a key member of the Theatre Bookings team, you will:
Coordinate elective surgery bookings and manage waiting list activities
Process procedure cancellations, rescheduling and patient updates
Maintain accurate patient records and booking information within Queensland Health systems
Support effective utilisation of theatre resources and operating schedules
Produce reports, undertake audits and contribute to data integrity activities
Liaise with clinicians, case managers and multidisciplinary teams to support patient flow
Deliver responsive, professional and customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders
Assist with ongoing improvements to booking processes and service delivery
About you
You will be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with:
Experience working in a busy administrative or healthcare environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
High-level computer skills and confidence learning new systems
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare administration (highly desirable)
Experience with elective surgery bookings, patient administration systems or waiting list management will be highly regarded.
