At Kanda, we’re expanding. With new residential programs opening across North Brisbane, we’re building a passionate team of Residential Care Workers who want to grow their knowledge, build real skills and make a meaningful impact in young people’s lives.

About the Role
As a Residential Care Worker, you’ll support young people to build stability, independence and positive futures within safe, supportive home environments.
You’ll be learning and applying therapeutic approaches while:

Providing consistent, day-to-day care
Building trusting, stable relationships
Supporting schooling, appointments, and recreational activities
Teaching everyday living and independence skills
Following individualised care plans
Completing clear and professional documentation

Whether you’re experienced or looking to deepen your skills, we provide the tools, guidance, and practical training to help you succeed in this field.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are committed to learning, growing, and contributing to a positive team culture.

You’ll need:

Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility including sleepover shifts
Completed or willingness to enrol in a Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work or related field
Experience supporting young people or in disability, mental health, community services, or childcare (highly regarded but not essential)

Most importantly, you’ll bring a willingness to learn, openness to training and a genuine commitment to supporting young people.
