Full Job Description

Coastal Health Medical Centre is currently seeking a professional, reliable and adaptable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing and supportive environment delivering quality care across general practice, skin checks, and women’s health services.

No day will be the same as you work across our 3 clinics located at Toukley, North Wyong and The Entrance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reception & Administration:

Manage a high-volume appointment system
Handle a busy multi-line phone system with confidence and professionalism
Greet and assist patients, managing check-in/out and documentation
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
Perform scanning, faxing, photocopying and typing of reports as required
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
Experience with Best Practice is highly desirable

Billing & Financial Duties:

Process payments via EFTPOS/credit card
Reconcile daily takings, batch and lodge Medicare and DVA claims
Apply working knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS)

What You’ll Bring

Prior medical reception/administration experience (general practice preferred)
Reliability and a great work ethic
Excellent computer and keyboard skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Warm, professional, and patient-focused communication
Ability to work well under pressure
Flexibility to work across multiple locations when needed

What We Offer

$33-40 per hour (dependant on experience) + superannuation

Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour
