$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role

We are looking for an individual with current industry experience and knowledge in Nursing to join our team as a permanent part time Teacher, 10.5 hours per week, flexibility required on the days worked as this will vary per term/semester to meet the faculty needs. This position is based at our Glendale TAFE Campus, with travel required to Wyong, Maitland, Gosford and Newcastle Campus to support operational and teaching needs.

In this role, you will deliver and assess training across the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and Diploma of Nursing, supporting students to build practical skills and industry-ready capability.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The successful candidates in this role will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their best outcomes.

About You

You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor your students, passing on your experience and knowledge. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including industry and students.

We are looking for a passionate and engaged individual who meets the following Essential Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor of Nursing (minimum) with a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.

Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.

Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
