About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time positions. You must be available for all shifts:

Line 1

Week 1:

Monday 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Saturday 4:30pm to 9:30am (sleepover)

Week 2:

Monday 11:30pm to 9:15am (active)

Tuesday 11:30pm to 9:15am (active)

Line 2

Week 1:

Wednesday 9am to 2pm

Saturday 4:30pm to 11:30pm

Week 2:

Monday 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Wednesday 7am to 4:30pm

Saturday 4:30pm to 9:30am (sleepover)

Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients’ needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer.

Key Responsibilities

Support clients with daily living tasks
Remain flexible and respond calmly to changing situations
Follow and adapt to behaviour support plans
Maintain a positive attitude and a good sense of humour to build genuine rapport
Assist with daily routines including domestic assistance and personal care
Promote client choice and independence in all interactions

Skills & Experience

Experience with complex behaviour support required
An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
