About CEM

Christian Education Ministries (CEM) is a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. CEM is wholeheartedly committed to excellence in education so that students are “well known, well loved, and well taught” by dedicated trained Christian staff.

CEM is a growing network, with 17 schools (including the Australian Christian College schools) and 3 early learning centres, in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education and home schooling provider in Australia.

About the Role

The ICT School Support Officer Role contributes to the overall mission of CEM by supporting and maintaining the ICT needs of Australian Christian College - Moreton - a growing Christian P-12 school with over 1000 students enrolled on campus and over 1,200 distance education students across Queensland.

The role will be based on-campus at Australian Christian College - Moreton, providing onsite support to the students and staff, reporting directly to the Group ICT Manager.

This full-time role will commence as soon as possible.

A typical week in this role would include:

Providing general support to end-users and solving their computing problems in a timely manner or effectively triaging their issues
Supporting software and applications, telecommunications and data services for the school.
Assisting in maintaining CEM’s ICT infrastructure, equipment and facilities.
Management of user accounts within the various online learning platforms.
Providing ICT support to the Group ICT Manager across the CEM Group.

Requirements

You’ll be comfortable with our key end-user systems:
- - Google Suite
  - Apple Mac and iOS
  - Microsoft
  - Canvas
  - Jamf
And our key back-end systems:
- - Microsoft Windows Server
  - Linux Server
  - Aruba LAN/WAN/Wireless Networking and Telecommunications
You’re solutions-focused and have an ability to complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
You’ll have the ability to work independently and also within a team to produce excellent outcomes.
Servant heart, vibrant Christian faith, and are actively involved in your local church
Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check.
