Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre (BVSC) is seeking a passionate, highly organised and client-focused Part-Time Administration Officer to join our team.
Working within a busy specialist veterinary hospital, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets from the moment they walk through our doors. This is a varied and rewarding part-time position, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team and genuinely cares about providing exceptional service.
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in veterinary reception, medical reception, healthcare or a similarly client-focused environment

Is genuinely passionate about providing outstanding customer service

Communicates confidently and compassionately, particularly in challenging or emotional situations

Is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

Has excellent attention to detail

Can confidently manage competing demands while remaining calm and professional

Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Is compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering a high standard of service to clients and their pets
The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Welcoming clients and patients to our specialist hospital

Managing a busy reception desk, phone calls and email enquiries

Scheduling specialist appointments and coordinating bookings

Liaising with referring veterinary clinics and our specialist teams

Processing payments, estimates and client accounts

Supporting the smooth flow of patients through the hospital
-
Providing clear, compassionate and professional communication
-
Maintaining accurate client and patient records
-
Working closely with our veterinary, nursing and administration teams
