Seeking an enthusiastic and engaging leader ready to support and develop our optical retail team in Burwood.

At Oscar Wylee, we’re looking for an energetic and people-focused Store Manager to lead our Burwood store. This is more than just running a retail store - it’s an opportunity to build leadership and commercial skills while creating an exceptional team culture in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

What makes this role unique? Our Burwood store operates within our joint venture partnership model, giving you the opportunity to work closely with experienced Store Partners and gain valuable insight into the commercial side of retail leadership and business ownership.

No optical experience? No problem. Some of our best leaders joined us from outside the industry - we’ll teach you everything you need to know about eyewear and optical retail.

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee day-to-day store operations, compliance, and performance standards
Support your team to achieve results through coaching and exceptional customer service
Lead by example on the shop floor with hands-on sales and customer support
Manage rosters, labour efficiency, and store performance
Partner closely with Optometrists to deliver an exceptional patient experience
Create a positive team culture where people feel motivated and supported

About You

Previous leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
Experience coaching, motivating, or supporting a team
Strong customer focus and confidence building genuine connections
A proactive attitude and ability to bring positive energy to a fast-paced environment
Experience contributing to rosters, labour planning, or store operations is a bonus
A desire to continue growing your leadership career
