Field Supervisor - Exploration

New Position in Growing Company - RC Drilling
2:1 FIFO from Perth or 5:2 DIDO
Salary plus vehicle
S26 required

VM Drilling is a privately owned RC drilling company based in Kalgoorlie, serving clients throughout Western Australia. VM Drilling was established in 2004 as a one rig company and has grown organically to a reputable mid-size company. Today the business is operating up to 10+ Rigs and possesses extensive experience within the mining industry.

VM Drilling offer training and career paths for the right people. We are proud to have demonstrated longevity in our team and have a number of employees who started out as offsiders with no experience and are now drillers and supervisors, leading our people and part of our core team.

About the Position

Field Supervisor - Exploration FIFO would be responsible for:

Leading a team of day and night shifts for exploration.
Provide a hands on approach to enable effective supervision of personnel and associated exploration activities
Train and mentor drillers and assistants
Supervise drilling operations and crews
Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues
Liaise and coordinate with the client
Manage transport, excavation, multiple rigs and crew
Boots on the ground position with a strong admin team providing support in the office.
Plan ahead, solve problems and fix issues
Maintain accurate records and reports on daily operations
Conduct toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Contribute to a strong safety culture

Position Requirements

3-5 years experience as a supervisor
Must be able to multi-task, strong organisation - plan for future, problem solve, see problems through and fix issues
Must have RC drilling experience
S26 required
HR-B Minimum
Cert IV in Drilling Operations preferred
First Aid Certificate
Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be able to pass pre employment medical
National Police Clearance required
Full Working Rights in Australia
