About the Role

Prominent Hill is home to a team that's more than 80% South Australian. You can build a strong mining career without leaving SA, with direct flights from Adelaide (1.5hrs) or Port Augusta (45 minutes).

You'll be extracting the copper that goes into electric vehicle batteries, solar panel wiring, and wind turbine components. Every day, you're contributing to Australia's clean energy future.

The mine schedulers sit right where planning meets execution. Every day, your schedules directly influence production, safety, efficiency, and the mine’s bottom line. You are the person who keeps the operation moving.

You'll join a collaborative team where people listen to your ideas for improvements. Safety isn't just a slogan here—it's how we look out for each other every day.

8 days on, 6 days off roster gives you a regular rhythm - focused work periods followed by extended time at home.

In this role you will:

Adjust plans, solve bottlenecks, and make tactical decisions that change how the mine runs ensuring that the weekly schedule aligns with the longer-term plans.
Opportunities to grow your technical and operational skills
Facilitate and contribute to weekly planning and scheduling meetings
Have a strong pathway into Mine Planning, Production or Operations roles
Be co-ordinating across operations, planning, maintenance, and technical services to keep operations aligned

About You

We're looking for people who want to grow their expertise while contributing to our success!
Strong foundation in mining operation having completed underground time and with curiosity to learn more.
Apply your problem-solving skills to real-world challenges, with guidance from experienced engineers.
Previous scheduling experience is highly regarded, we will provide more training if required.
