What this opportunity involves:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage the financial operations for a key client's property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to be a strategic business partner to centre managers and client finance teams, whilst driving consistency and excellence in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting across multiple assets.
Based in Brisbane, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate financial information that enables effective decision-making and strengthens our client relationships.
An overview of the role:
- Lead monthly financial close, forecasting and annual budgeting cycles for a portfolio of properties
- Act as the primary finance business partner to centre managers and client finance teams
- Drive consistency in financial reporting format, delivery and timelines across the client's wider portfolio
- Mentor, coach and develop team members, delivering regular finance training sessions
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings and monthly financial reporting
- Manage tenant outgoings recoveries, reconciliations and audit processes
- Ensure all directly recoverable expenditure is appropriately charged and removed from outgoings
- Prepare outgoings and marketing audit reports
- Coordinate annual income, operating and capex budgets within agreed timeframes
- Provide first-line MRI system support and liaise with the client's Finance Systems Analyst on system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with all JLL and client-specific accounting policies and procedures
- Attend monthly property meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or CA qualification
- 4+ years' experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Property accounting experience (essential)
- Team management experience
- Experience with Yardi or MRI property accounting systems (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously whilst collaborating effectively with diverse teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
