You are analytically minded and curious about non-financial risk, with a strong passion for data‑driven insights.
We are a specialist analytics team within Business Banking Risk, supporting lines of business with high‑quality insights.
Together we automate and visualise what matters, driving confident risk decisions.

As part of Business Banking Chief Controls Office, you will lead and deliver data science and analytics solutions that transform complex risk data into clear, actionable reporting and insights. Your work will directly support effective risk oversight, control monitoring, and decision‑making, helping the function deliver on its risk management accountabilities and strategic priorities.

As a Risk Analytics Senior Analyst, you will apply data science and analytics in delivering insights that drive informed decision‑making and strong risk outcomes across Business Banking Non-Financial Risk. You will contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of dashboards and reporting assets.

We are seeking people who are:

Passionate about developing high‑quality, decision‑ready dashboards and reporting solutions that enable clear, confident risk decision‑making.
Motivated by solving complex risk and business problems through data, with the ability to turn large, ambiguous datasets into clear and actionable insights.
Collaborative and influential, partnering closely with risk stakeholders, data engineers, and platform teams, and confident in engaging and influencing stakeholders through clear, evidence‑based insights.
Committed to continuous learning and improvement, with a strong interest in evolving reporting capabilities and staying current with best‑practice dashboard design and analytics approaches.
Curious and outcome‑focused, always seeking better ways to present information, improve transparency, and strengthen risk decision‑making through intuitive and impactful dashboards.

Tech skills:

Proficient in SQL, with the ability to interrogate complex datasets, build data logic, and support reliable reporting and dashboard development.
Confident in either R or Python, with hands‑on experience creating interactive outputs such as R Markdown reports, Shiny applications, or equivalent Python‑based reporting solutions.
Experienced in designing, developing, and supporting Tableau dashboards, with a focus on usability, performance, and stakeholder needs.

Suggested skills:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in data analytics, data science, business or statistics are highly desired.
Experience in reporting automation and using other data analytics tools/platforms such as Tableau Prep, Teradata, Power Query and Alteryx.
Understanding of IBM Open Pages and Cognos Business Intelligence.
High level understanding of operational risk and compliance management frameworks.
