Officer Emergency Services and Security

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Emergency Services & Security Officer to join our team at the Mungari Operations. Reporting to the Senior Advisor Emergency Services, you will play a key role in keeping our people safe by supporting emergency response, site security, and medical services.

In this dynamic, hands-on position, you will be responsible for ensuring the site is prepared to respond to emergencies while also supporting day-to-day security and medical coverage.

Your duties will include:

Maintaining and testing emergency response equipment and systems
Training and supporting Emergency Response Team (ERT) members
Leading and assisting during emergency situations
Providing first aid and pre-hospital care when required
Managing site medical facilities and equipment
Monitoring site security and assisting with access control
Conducting drug and alcohol testing and managing results

This role operates on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster (12-hour day and night shifts) and is open to FIFO from Perth or Kalgoorlie residents.

About You

You are an experienced and safety driven professional who thrives in a team environment and is confident promoting a strong “Safety First” culture.

To be successful, you will have:

Proven experience in emergency response within an underground mining environment
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or higher
C Class Driver’s Licence (HR licence preferred)
Certificate to Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours
