Day Off is looking for a proactive and organised Chef to join our team.

The Role

The Prep Master: Your primary focus is prepping fresh ingredients to perfection, ensuring the kitchen is stocked and ready for the daily rush.
Service Support: You'll help with service during peak times, ensuring food goes out quickly and efficiently.
Food Aesthetics: You have a genuine interest in food presentation. You understand that "we eat with our eyes" and ensure every dish looks beautiful and consistent.
Kitchen Upkeep: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including managing the dishwasher and ensuring the kitchen stays spotless throughout the shift.

Details

Location: Heart of Southport. Walkable location with bus and tram stops just steps away.
Status: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Shift Hours: Mon - Sun , approx 7:45am - 2:30pm

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in a sandwich shop or cafe environment is highly preferred.
Active & Proactive: You are a fast mover who sees what needs to be done before being asked.
Team Player: You have great communication skills (Fluent English) and a positive attitude that adds to the cafe’s vibe.
Reliability: Punctual, professional, and ready to be part of our Day Off team.
