Role Overview:
The Social Media & Event Marketing Manager is responsible for driving brand awareness, event promotion, functions and customer engagement for the venue. This role combines creative direction, campaign execution, and operational marketing management to ensure consistent exposure across digital, print and in-venue channels.
You will oversee weekly marketing cycles, coordinate promotion team, manage partnerships and collaborations, and maintain the venue’s reputation within the industry and local community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Campaign & Event Marketing
● Plan and execute weekly and monthly marketing campaigns for events, DJs, and special activations
● Develop compelling content and event write-ups for use across social media, website, and press
● Ensure consistent brand tone of voice—engaging, creative, and aligned with venue positioning
● Prioritise key events for maximum exposure across broader networks
2. Creator, Media & Press Relations
● Secure User Generated Content (UGC), editorial opportunities and event coverage where possible
● Build and maintain relationships with creators (influencers), street press/ magazines, and online publications
● Meet all publication deadlines and optimise submissions for ease of use
3. Digital & Social Media Management
● Oversee all social platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook)
● Create and schedule engaging content including:
o Story telling posts
o Live reels
o Event announcements
o Photo galleries / carousels
o Artist features
● Drive audience engagement and monitor interaction metrics
● Maintain up-to-date event listings and consistent posting cadence
● Respond to messages, comments, and community interactions in a timely manner
● Avoid over posting/spam while maintaining strong visibility
4. Content & Asset Management
● Manage event photography and videography workflow (capture, editing, branding, publishing)
● Maintain digital assets for use across campaigns (images, artwork, bios)
● Ensure all marketing materials are optimised for cross-platform use
● Oversee website and online listings accuracy
5. Print & Street Marketing
● Manage the creation, approval, and distribution of posters and flyers
● Coordinate with designers and printers to meet strict weekly deadlines
● Oversee poster distribution across:
o Core network (high-value, high-relevance venues)
o Extended network (broader awareness locations)
● Ensure quality control (accuracy of dates, spelling, branding)
● Maintain relationships with partner venues and businesses for premium placement
● Supervise flyer campaigns and promotional material allocation
6. Promotions & Outreach
● Coordinate promotional staff and street teams
● Prepare weekly promo packs (flyers, run sheets, artist info)
● Manage partnerships with local businesses, hostels, and networks
● Execute grassroots marketing initiatives to grow audience reach
7. CRM & Direct Marketing
● Manage email and WhatsApp marketing campaigns
● Maintain and update customer databases and opt-out lists
● Execute monthly EDM and targeted communications
● Support VIP membership promotions and communications
8. Administrative & Weekly Operations
● Follow a structured weekly marketing schedule
● Track competitor activity and report relevant insights
● Maintain organised records of campaigns, contacts, and assets
● Build out processes and ‘How to’ manuals
9. Door Hosting
● Management of door on Friday and Saturday nights
● Ensure functions and bookings run smoothly
Key Skills & Experience
● Passion for music
● Proven experience in nightlife, hospitality, or events marketing
● Strong understanding of both digital and street marketing strategies
● Excellent design, copywriting and content creation skills (Meta Edits, Canva)
● Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
● Strong relationship-building and communication skills
● Creative thinker with a strong sense of brand and audience

Pay: $30.96 – $35.35 per hour
