Full Job Description

With depots located in Berri, Clare, Kadina, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Whyalla & Victor Harbor they require locally based:

Drivers

We prefer multi-skilled applicants for regional roles to provide flexibility across the operational requirements of these depots and we offer:

DRIVERS

We have a modern and well maintained fleet of trucks fitted with enhanced safety features with driver comfort and fitness in mind. Drivers typically require LR or MR class licensing and roles include Local Delivery Driver, starting around 7am daily doing multiple short delivery runs in and out of depot and Delivery Run Driver, starting around 6am daily doing long delivery runs returning to depot at end of day.

Our driver licensing requirements are across:

Light Rigid Trucks (LR Class) with GVM between 4.5 and 8t
Medium Rigid Trucks (MR Class) with 2 axles and GVM greater than 8t

Applicant Requirements

Understanding of and adherence to load restraint regulations is a critical requirement
Appropriate truck licensing and having a forklift license is preferred
Competency with using modern equipment (scanners, touch screens etc)
Scanner usage is mandatory for Delivery Drivers
Ability to work at efficiently and effectively in a safe manner
Customer and receiver focussed, team player
Adaptable and reliable
Willingness to learn multiple runs

FORKLIFT OPERATORS - FREIGHT HANDLERS

Regional depot Forklift Operators – Freight Handlers are required to unload inbound linehaul trucks, sort, scan and load the freight received onto local delivery trucks. Forklift operators are required to be skilled in the unloading of curtain sided linehaul trailers and loading curtain sided rigid trucks.
These freight processes involve scanning and checking of freight against manifest or consignment information followed by sorting and staging freight in depot.

Applicant Requirements

Current forklift license & prior forklift experience within a logistics setting
Ability to work at efficiently and effectively in a safe manner
Understanding and adherence to Chain of Responsibility and Safe Manual Handling Practices
Commitment to safety protocols and a collaborative teamwork approach
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work unsupervised
Literacy and comprehension
Competency with using modern equipment (scanners, touch screens etc)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
