About the position:
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused and experienced Yard Tractor Operator to join our Morning Shift team at our Gillman Depot.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers throughout our transport yard. The position will involve operating a tug to safely manoeuvre and pull a range of trailer combinations, including B-doubles and triples, as well as operating a forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers.
The successful candidate will have experience operating heavy vehicles and forklifts in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment and be confident working safely around heavy vehicles, trailers and other equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 6:00am to 2:00pm.

Forklift License – Required

Previous experience operating a forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers, preferably within a transport or logistics environment.

Experience operating yard tractors or similar heavy vehicles.

Experience safely maneuvering and pulling B-doubles, triples or other trailer combinations.

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Good literacy and comprehension skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
