About the Role
We are seeking a versatile ICT Business Analyst to join our team. This is a high-impact, wide-ranging role that sits at the intersection of our business operations and our technology solutions. You will be responsible for driving the development of our proprietary software and payment gateway projects, while simultaneously managing the technical requirements for supplying, integrating, and supporting networking equipment and POS hardware for our commercial clients. You will serve as a key advisor to management, ensuring our business processes are as efficient as our technical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Business Analysis: Analyze our internal business processes and work practices to identify inefficiencies, proposing and implementing technology-driven solutions to improve overall company performance.
- Software & Payment Development: Lead the requirements gathering and functional design for our proprietary POS software and custom payment gateway.
- Client Infrastructure Solutions: Analyze client requirements for networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and POS hardware, providing technical guidance to ensure the right solutions are supplied and integrated.
- Requirements & Specifications: Translate complex business and customer needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for our development team.
- System Lifecycle Management: Manage the deployment of new software and hardware solutions, including creating system test plans, ensuring quality, and verifying integrity before rollout.
- Stakeholder & Customer Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal staff and external commercial clients, ensuring all technology deliverables meet project expectations.
- Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive internal process documentation, customer user guides, and technical training modules.
- Project Governance: Utilize project management methodologies to plan, resource, and manage diverse projects ranging from custom software builds to large-scale hardware supply deployments.
Skills and Experience
- Professional Background: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an ICT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- Broad ICT Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and foundational networking concepts (e.g., networking hardware, connectivity, and client infrastructure).
- Product Exposure: Experience with POS/EFTPOS systems or payment processing is highly regarded.
- Operational Acumen: Ability to understand the "big picture" of business operations and align technology investments with profitability and efficiency.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between developers, operational management, and end-clients.
- Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in data and process modeling to create clear, functional system designs.
