Clerk Grade 7/8, salary $113,574 - $125,720 pa plus superannuation and leave loading
Ongoing, full-time office-based role available

The Corrections Intelligence Group (CIG) provides high level intelligence support to Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) stakeholders and various law enforcement agencies. Intelligence products disseminated by the CIG assist with decision making processes around the management of offenders in custody and under community corrections supervision.

Your role

The Data Analyst will be required to establish, maintain, develop and manage statistical data series pertaining to key operational areas of intelligence, to support correctional and community operations, performance and outcomes. You will support the unit in providing timely and accurate analysis of statistical data by developing reporting systems and maintaining data dashboards as well as working in collaboration with your team members to respond to data requests from within the agency in a timely manner. You will provide the General Manager with updates on outstanding reports, data requests and escalate any issues impacting on the data reporting services.

What we’re looking for

Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
Work autonomously and within a team environment when required
Experience with extraction, management, manipulation and reporting of statistical data using software such as SQL, SPSS, SAS, Excel and MS Access
Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to effectively communicate findings and insight
