We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team in Perth.
Position Summary
The Cloud Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud environments while supporting business-critical applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security of cloud resources.
- Configure and manage virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and cloud services.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and security policies.
- Support cloud migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting and cloud management tools.
- Collaborate with development, cybersecurity, and IT support teams to ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud systems administration or infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, virtualization, storage, and security concepts.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud certifications.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
